To teach Kaliya a lesson, the child form of Lord Krishna performed the leela of Kaliya Mardan, in which he danced on many of Kaliya's heads. The weight of Krishna's feet alone made Kaliya realize that Krishna is no ordinary boy but an incarnation of Narayana himself.<br /><br />ABOUT KRISHNA JANMASHTAMI <br />Hindu festival celebrating the birth (janma) of the god Krishna on the eighth (ashtami) day of the dark fortnight of the month of Bhadrapada (August–September).
